Since WHEN has Boondock Saints II been out in theaters!?!?!

I can't believe it! Last I had heard, the director was bankrupt so they weren't going to make the movie -- and now it is out at a nearby theater!

I'M SO EXCITED! But I can't see it until Monday. T_T Stupid busy roommate...

Apparently I am behind the times, and just found out about a live action Mulan movie coming out soon in China. T_T

I want to see it!! The various clips/trailers I've seen look pretty good...I guess we'll see when it comes out...but I have high hopes :D

I wonder if it will ever come to the US?

New Arashi single out now though! Today is a good day. :D

I just made my FB page language "Pirate". LMFAO. Whoever came up with that is brilliant! ^___^

I've spent October running around like a crazy person. Finally, things have calmed down with November. I'm catching up on all my Arashi stuff (Holy crap srsly how have they not taken over the world yet? So f-ing hilarious!!!!!) and I'm addicted to the Kdrama "You're Beautiful". It's been a long time since I haven't been hooked on one drama...last season was "Shining Inheritance", and then before that it was "Smile" and "Quiz Show", and before that it was "Uta no Oniisan". On the American side of things, I'm watching a lot of shows, but none of them pull me like the dramas...which is funny, because none of the American shows I watch are "dramas" (except Lost and Heroes, I guess). Oh well. PS -- The little girl in "My Girl" (Koharu-chan) is too cute for words.

I need to get my house organized. My files organized. My life a little more organized. T_T

I really don't have much to say. Just wanted to update a little. :)

Although I would like to say that I love how every kid at the school knows who I am. And they always greet me enthusiastically. :D

Remember how I said I was busy in my last post? Well, I think the fact that I haven't posted anything in over a month only emphasizes that point.

Anywho, I came across this website, thanks to [info]dgbearcat , and it is GOLD. Pure 80's childhood GOLD.

Childhood Cartoon Intros in Foreign Languages

And yes, I've seen every single one of those shows...many I watched quite often as a child. Not sure if that's something to be proud of or not...most likely not. Did anyone catch Scrooge McDuck on SNL this past weekend???

I've been laughing hysterically all night because of this:

A Very Potter Musical (aka Harry Potter as a messed up musical)

If you've ever wanted to:
-- see Harry Potter and friends sing
-- see Draco be a girl and roll on the floor
-- hear a song about being "totally awesome"
-- see Ginny be an idiot
-- see Cho Chang with a southern accent
-- see Voldemort and Quirrell be BFFs
-- see Dumbledore love Snape
-- see a drunk Ron
-- see a constantly eating Ron
-- see the HP and Disney world collide
-- see Voldemort tap dance
-- learn about Pigfarts (aka Hogwarts...on Mars...)
-- see a home-made dark mark
-- hear Mrs. Weasley with a NJ accent
-- Dumbledore <3 Zac Efron Poster <3 Malfoy
OR
-- see Snape be creeptastic (oh wait, that's normal...)

Then you should watch this!

Yes, it's completely stupid and a little twisted, but...well...really, just watch it for Malfoy, because Malfoy is absolutely hysterical!

(Not suitable for those who haven't read the 7th book or any of the books or seen the movies....or for those under the age of 13...probably...)

Lately I have been into 3 things:

1. Watching all 4 seasons of How I Met Your Mother
2. Re-reading Harry Potter (for like the 8th time)
3. Watching Brilliant Legacy (and agonizing over Jun Se and Hwan)

And now...I've finished them all. I finished #1 and 2 both on the same day (today) and I finished #3 a few days earlier. I'm sort of at a loss of what to do with myself now. I guess it's good, since I need to start getting ready for the new school year...

Also, even though this hardly needs to be said, Harry Potter is an effing good series. As in epically good. Re-reading the 7th book has made me so excited for the final movies, even though I'm sure they'll leave stuff out as always. Reading HP made me deliriously happy, and now that I've finished them (again) I feel like I'm going through withdrawal. D:

I've also officially completed my Masters program. I get a lemon colored tassel....I'm hoping it isn't too atrociously highlighter-colored. I'm not going to the actual graduation ceremony...I did that for undergrad...but I still want the tassel. I know, I'm a loser. Whatevs. I also need to get a frame for my diploma. I have one for my Bachelor's degree, so I kind of want a set. :P

[sigh] I feel very bored now...and sad that I have no more HP to read, or drama to agonize over like with BL, or hilarity to ensue from HIMYM. At least with HIMYM, a new season will start up soon...but my desire for more HP eclipses the rest. :(

I guess it's a good thing my job is now a school library media specialist. I can spread my HP love to all the children that come through my doors! :D

PS Anybody have any good suggestions for obsessions for me to take on since my latest ones have been depleted? :/

I came back from my trip on a happy high! :)

Here's a quick rundown on a few things I did:
-- American Girl store (I love those dolls, so what? Shut up)
-- Sears (aka Willis NOT) Tower + John Hancock Observatory (the glass box is so cool!)
-- Navy Pier (yayyyy carousel and ferris wheel!)
-- Architecture boat tour + fireworks
-- Speedboat fun ride (+ rainbow!)
-- Millennium Park
-- Shopping
-- Blue Man Group!! (so awesome)
-- Planetarium and Aquarium
-- Harry Potter exhibit (very cool, but not worth $18!)
-- Hershey store

I don't plan on writing down anything detailed, because it was all just very cool. I got a lot of good exercise haha. Blue Man Group was so cool, totally worth the money. I wanted to buy a lot of things, but in the end I think I did a pretty decent job of holding myself back. :P

In other news, BoA has a new single, and the music video for it is pretty cool, since she is dancing (naturally)...

Also, my roommate and I are in love with the show How I Met Your Mother, and there are some awesome shirts/hats out there in relation to the show. I really want a shirt that says, "LEGEN...(wait for it)...DARY!" on it, a hat that says, "Slap Bet Commissioner", and a shirt that says, "When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead! True story." LOL!

Also, I want the shirt from the WB that says, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" on the front and "Mischief managed" on the back. Marauder's Map FTW! (which, they were actually selling replicas of the map at the HP exhibit...they were really cool...)

I need to go see the HP6 movie again...

So I had Lasik eye surgery on Friday...

All went well, obviously, as I can see to type this. :P

It was surprisingly quick and painless. My vision still isn't 100% clear, but it is wayyyy better than what it used to be. :D

Also, my sister randomly decided to block me from seeing her wall posts on Facebook. Um, yeah, like I wouldn't notice? Obviously something has been written she doesn't want me to see -- something she posted or something someone else posted. She was "depressed" all weekend, as she put it, but she never said why. My mom guessed it's because as of right now there is nothing in her future as she has no job, isn't enrolled at a college, and all her friends are doing one of the two, but there must be something more for her to block me.

I'm sure she'll give me the "I didn't block you! Something weird must have happened" speech like she did when she blocked me on AIM.

But Wednesday I'll be in Chicago! Yayyyy! My roommate really wants to go to the Harry Potter exhibit haha and I want to go to the planetarium. It's going to be great!

I hate group projects. Why?

Well, I am currently in one. Friday was the due date to post the project onto the wiki page we have. I work with 3 other people.

I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO PUTS UP ANYTHING.

So I wait. And I wait. And I wait.

SUNDAY f-ing EVENING someone finally puts up their work. ONE PERSON.

WTH?

People are supposed to be reviewing our work, and we only have 50% of it up! TWO DAYS LATE.

(>_<);####~

One guy apparently went to LA and decided not to check his email for 3 days...not to mention HAD NO CLUE when the project was due. The other member I haven't heard from since Wednesday. Apparently, none of my group members like email, since they never check it or respond.

I ONLY HAVE ONE MORE WEEK BEFORE I AM DONE WITH CLASSES AND CAN GET MY MASTERS. DONT F THIS UP FOR ME!

At least I know the professor won't mark me down for it, since I had my part up on time...

But seriously. SRSLY!?

"The Potter-loving beast in me has been unleashed having witnessed a film that was not only exquisite in its production values, but was also charming, funny, scary, enchanting, moving (stop me, the adjectives could go on and on) and dare I say, sexy."

So says Paul Dergarabedian of Hollywood.com. AND He anticipates that it could be in the running for an Oscar. SAY WHUT.

My anticipation just doubled ten fold. TEN FOLD.

Sexy? Interesting. My roommate stupidly took on an extra shift that night (she works night shift) so she may not be able to go at midnight. Well pfft I'm going without her. I'll just see it again with her another time. :P

Man, David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson...

All died recently...

I keep thinking, "What celebrity is next?"

So sad. So very sad.

MJ had his issues, but you can't deny how much of an icon he was.

Everybody knows who MJ is, whether you like him or not. He's truly a STAR. Not every celebrity can claim that.

Actually, I don't think I've ever known a person who didn't like his music.

I thought he'd live forever...he's just one of those people you don't even imagine dying.

His "Dangerous" album was the first audio cassette I had. Yes, audio cassette. I listened to that thing over and over on my headphones.

I hope Farrah died in peace...I feel terrible for what she went through. It must have been horrible.

I just really hope no one else dies for a long time. A really long time.

I was bored. So pardon the randomness.

1. If you could be a teenager living in any decade, which one would you choose?

Wow, this is hard. One of the things I would love to be able to do is after I die, I want to watch the world’s history, like on a filmstrip in heaven or something (haha). I’m so curious to see how things really were. If we are talking about the U.S., I guess the 1940’s or 1950’s or 1960’s. Or 1920’s. :P If we are talking about Europe, I’d have to say during the height of ancient Rome or Greece. If we are talking about Asia, I’d have to say 2000’s. I just took a quiz though that said I should’ve been born in the 1940’s. XP

2. What do you think is the worst job?

I think there are a lot of bad jobs. Probably the people that have to actually kill the animals that we eat. Or being a soldier. I have the utmost respect for soldiers, but I could never do it. I think being a soldier is even worse when you are commanded to drop atomic bombs or mass murder others, etc. No thank you.

3. Have you ever won a contest, drawing, or lottery? What was the prize?

Well, at our end of the year staff party, I won a game called Left Right Center. I won a ton of quarters (each player had 3 quarters to start out) so I don’t know how much money it is exactly, but it is one hefty bag.

4. Describe your idea of a perfect summer vacation.

One where each week I am somewhere else: a week in Japan, a week in NZ, a week in Greece, a week in France, a week in Colorado, etc.

5. Empty parking garages, roadside motels, dark caves, dank basements, overgrown forests—what kind of setting makes you feel nervous?

Close spaces that are unnatural to be in, like a cave space, alley, or cellar.

6. When you have to study or get work done, what music (if any) do you put on to help you concentrate?

I love classical music or what I call "instrumentals" -- basically anything without words, just instruments. I sometimes listen to music with words while studying, but then I end up singing along and get distracted. But if it is "work" like cleaning the house, I can listen to anything.

7. What's the best thing that happened to you this past week?

Hmm. Well, my roommate and I are moving into a new apartment in 2 months, and we flipped a coin to pick rooms. I got to pick first. :D So I get the bedroom with the walk-in closet and the shower that has a built in seat!

8. What's your favorite thing to show out-of-town guests when they come to visit?

Easton Mall. I live there during the summer, practically. Easton has it all, and it's half outdoor, half indoor, and entirely too amazing.

9. What fictional character do you most identify with?

Wow, that's tough. When taking quizzes, I often get Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice), and Anne of Green Gables. I'm having trouble thinking of others at the moment. I guess I'd have to say Belle? Because I live in my little dream world and read ridiculous amounts of books and I try to find the best in people. Gaston annoys the crap out of me, too. Plus, I'm always up for a bit of adventure.

10. Have you ever considered converting to another religion?
No, I haven't, but I often consider adapting my religion to others. I see so many similarities in religions that I often identify parts of my religion with others, and in my mind end up merging them.

I cannot express enough love for this song.

I'm learning it on the piano...for some reason, it sounds so much better live (although I still love the recorded version). They've been playing "Postcards From Far Away" right after "The Hardest Part" so that it sounds like one piece, and it's amazing. <3<3<3

BoA released a new video!

Great moves, as usual, from BoA. But some of the dancing felt a little odd to me...like it doesn't quite match the music. And I know they are going for the "sexy" vibe, but what is with the water? I like the part with the hand fans best.

BTW, this video's outfit is SO Aaliyah...I'm not sure what video, but BoA is just giving off a very Aaliyah/Michael Jackson vibe in this vid.

I hope her next single is "Look Who's Talking" so I can see her awesome dance moves for that song in final form. My roommate has even heard the song, and I wasn't the one to make her listen to it!

Our family has a tradition of having an egg fight every Easter, so we always decorate eggs. I happened to make one that turned out TOTALLY AWESOME.

I apologize for the poor quality of the pics...but they were taken with my phone.

Can you see the crescent moon shape?!?!?

Here it is kind of hard to see, but there were white streaks that appeared, making it look like a meteor shower...

So I had a freaking awesome crescent moon w/ meteor shower Easter Egg! XD

Also, I got a skin for my iPod made...based off of a wallpaper I found on the internetz a long time ago...

My fingers look like Nino hamburger hands in this one haha but it's just the angle of the shot...
I also made a seafoam green one for when I get tired of the purple/blue one. :D
